Hello! I’m Stevee.
I always wanted to be a teacher. I loved dance, gymnastics, and diving. By the time I went back to school to earn a degree, I was 43 years old. I no longer felt passion for any of those fields, so I returned to my first love, art.
I signed up for the“Adult reentry” program at Wright-State University. Art classes were three hours long four days a week, and I figured I’d be about 60 when I acquired enough hours to graduate. So, I graduated in three years with an Education degree in English.
I worked as an English teacher and earned an Art Certification. Teaching art was great for me because my students were great artists.
Since I have semi-retired from teaching, I spend most days at my art desk creating art—with no time limit and just for fun. That said, art materials are expensive. If I can sell a few paintings, I will be able to buy supplies.
My philosophy about Art:
I love to create imaginary worlds through my interpretation of how I view images. I feel empowered when I create.
